What to say?

David-daily

Ever find yourself at a loss for words, or even an idea for words? Being a bit tuckered out, I’m at a loss for something “brilliant” to say, or at least something that passes as brilliant, so far as I can tell. I’m committed to publishing everyday though, so this is the very point at which I’ve strived to get. A loss of words.

Kind of like how training doesn’t START until you’re tired. That sort of thing. Once tired, you finally where you need to be, to train.

Patience.

One thing of note for me today, is the patience I had in dealing with garden preparations, and my bicycle repairs. I use a Mantis rotor-tiller to mix compost and organic materials into my Florida sand, so that my plants can be more that sandspurs.

Yeah, these fuckers.

The tiller handle broke, I suspected it prior to it breaking, and had I been the least bit attentive to it coming apart, I could have just tightened a couple of nuts, and gotten my tilling done. But NO, I ignored it, and now need parts. Work delayed.

My bicycle repair, this particular part of it, has me rotating my chainrings 90° to get a little more use out of them, and never having done this before, I need a special tool. Work delayed.

Here’s where patience comes in. The tiller was going to break, and would not get fixed until after it broke, which has now happened. I get the parts tomorrow, use loc-tite red, and its good to go.

The repair on my bicycle I would normally have the bike shop do, but as they are mostly out of business, courtesy of Bill Gates and his virus coalition, I’m having to do it myself. That, and this was recently fixed, by a shop, but apparently not so well. So I’m choosing to do it myself. I didn’t know what I’d need, until I attempted the work. Now I know, am getting the tool, and will now have that forever.

Thus patience is vital to my performance of these daily things. I’m happy—not upset—to get this much closer to finishing. Never mind how hard or easy I thought it would be.

Okay, how did I do?

That said, with a lesson, a sharing of experience and understanding, was it worth the read? Kind of business as usual, but isn’t that what counts the most? I think so.

As for timeliness, it is time to do the garden beds, but not past time to do them. A day isn’t a big deal. And my bicycle, I’ve still got to weld the rear rim, true the wheel, replace all brake pads, and put new tires on. So its not going anywhere just yet either.

On both counts, I’ve got to wait on other stuff still, so these “inconveniences” are not real. My ego counts them as failing to do what I set out to do. But so what? Fuck my ego. 🙂

Do you have examples of patience enriching your life that you’d like to share? Please do.

Thanks for the visit. Please share this if you like. See you next time!
