A Cold Front in Tampa?!?!

David-daily

Okay, its October 30th, 2020, so colder weather in North America isn’t normally a thing. But this is Tampa, Florida. Yesterday it got to 90 plus degrees Fahrenheit, 75% humidity. And today we only got to 80 degrees, Fahrenheit, with 60% ish humidity. Nice!

And tonight? Well break out the blankets! Its going into, the sixties!!! I know. Tampa, Florida? More like Tampa fricking Alaska. Hope I make it.

The cats are happy. They get bouncy when the weather is less than damn hot and damn humid. Furballs.

Yard and Bike Update.

I took delivery of 6 yards of compost this morning, and spent the first part of the day distributing it into the yard. That will get tilled in tomorrow. I’ll be planting soon!

My bicycle, ohh, that’s a tuff one. Turns out my replacement crank set is a piece of poo. Which cinches my decision to do all my own work from this point forward. This piece of poo crank set cannot be repaired or serviced, it is a cheap replace-only part. Uh. Huh.

To work with this thing, I’ll have to drill rivets—rivets made to look like removable fasteners—and see if the assembly can be fixed, then replace the rivets with removable fasteners. Either way, I am planning to replace the crank set with a mid-frame EV motor, that uses the crank location. More on that later.

Today was a wonderful day, plenty to do, plenty got done. More for tomorrow too. I am about six weeks away from food, and my bicycle is nearly repaired and safe to use. Nearly. I’m tired, and I’ll sleep well tonight. Bundled up against the freezing temperatures of mid-sixty degree weather. Pssshhh. I’m so bad-ass, I’m even leaving my windows open. 🙂

Do you enjoy the change of seasons, from summer to fall to winter?

Thanks for the visit. Please share this if you like. See you next time!
