When you are an ego driven ideology, you’ve set yourself against the power and weight of reality. Assertive defensiveness is necessary; being wrong, it takes more than is possible just to maintain a delusion. Information, revelation is destructive to your life of lies.
All that, to maintain a delusion of certainty, entitlement and control. Psshhh…
This is why those “champions” of diversity actually need unquestioned compliance with their bullshit. Complicity isn’t optional, comply or be attacked.
Meanwhile, Americans, who live a spiritual life, are at complete ease. Even with the constant crazy coming from not-Americans. In spiritual life, perfect defines normal. Perfection is effortless, and no longer a question or goal. This leaves us free to investigate the questions of: what we want, why we want it, and what we are willing to do to get what we want.
Simple Competence is our objective, our arbiter of correct, not exploitation. Values are our arbiter of propriety, not identity. “Who am I?” is also nonsensical in spiritual life.
Contempt for humanity.
Ego driven ideologists hate themselves. Their life’s work is to be anything other than who they happen to be. They seethe with contempt for humanity, obeying their ego’s command to be worshiped as God. They see others and hate them too, seeing that they themselves are like “the rest.” This is at the root of human insanity.
Its easy to spot too. People who claim they “make their own reality” are presenting themselves as God. They’re shit nuts, but see themselves as “enlightened.” Uh huh. You’re shit nuts, blind, in the dark.
These folks living as legends in their own mind, mind fart all kinds of ideas about us and them. Hell yeah I’m mocking their “seriousness.” They hold themselves blameless, victimized, heroic, with an ideology that solves the problems of the world. I certainly did, when I was an ego driven ideology. They craft fantastical ideas, and devote their lives to “seeing” it through. That’s code for telling everybody what to do.
Crap like communism, religions, social status. The whole thing being that these “enlightened” people are somehow not human like the rest of us. They hate themselves and humanity too. Ego drives that.
Ego is the beast of biblical lore.
Our own egos are the beast of biblical lore. We are the beast, by way of ego. For me, my life is about outgrowing my ego, and living spiritually, while I live at all. But too many, if not most people, never grow enough to even notice their own ego. They live life ideologically, for certainty, entitlement and control. None of which is possible, let alone obtained.
They are committed to it none the less, and war on the world, starting with themselves, to be something—anything—other than who they are. Because what they are is ordinary, fragile, mortal. All abhorrent to ego, which counts itself as God, at the very least. Being an ego driven ideology was a terrible existence for me.
In our favor.
One thing though, folks who are competent are always ahead of those who are not. This difference is explained away by the incompetent, especially by those who choose to be incompetent and exploit their way through life, rather than produce for themselves. Competence is truth. Ideology is lies. But ideology is also crafted bullshit used to explain how they are the exception to the rule. Which is also not possible.
Spiritual living is living beyond your ability to see and understand. It is what’s possible, what is real in life. No certainty, entitlement or control. None expected either. So life is good when working in such clarity things. No blaming, just working, learning, improving, producing.
